Georgia is better shared.

Find a seat in a car already going your way — from Tbilisi to the sea, the mountains and every town between. Drivers you can check, payment by card, and refunds that arrive.

Departures from Tbilisi

Where people ride

Seat prices are what the app suggests from the distance. Drivers set their own, within a cost-sharing cap: it’s about splitting fuel, not running a taxi.

How it works

Three steps, either side of the car

  1. 1

    Search your road

Pick where from and where to. Rides that pass your town count too: a car to Batumi can drop you in Kutaisi, and you pay for your part of the road.

  2. 2

    Book and pay by card

Book instantly, or send a request the driver accepts. A request only holds the money on your card; nothing is taken until the driver says yes.

  3. 3

    Ride, then rate

Meet at the pickup point, send your family a live link to the trip, and rate the driver when you arrive.

Safety and fairness

You know who you’re riding with

Verified drivers
Drivers verify their identity with an ID and a selfie, checked by a person. Verified drivers carry a badge.
Women-only rides
A driver can offer a ride to women passengers only, clearly marked when you search.
Share your trip live
Send anyone a link that follows your ride as it goes. It opens in any browser, no app needed.
Ratings after every ride
Passengers rate the driver when they arrive, and a driver’s rating is on every ride they publish.
For drivers

Driving between towns anyway?

Publish your trip, and passengers book and pay for their seats. A person checks your ID once, you set the price within a cost-sharing cap, and what passengers pay comes to your card or bank account after the ride.

Questions

Before you go

What is GzaGzaCar?

A way to share car rides between Georgian towns. Drivers who are already making a trip publish their free seats; passengers book them and share the cost of the road.

How much does a seat cost?

Drivers set the price, within a cost-sharing cap. Tbilisi–Kutaisi is usually about 21 ₾ a seat and Tbilisi–Batumi about 34 ₾. A 12% service fee is added at checkout, shown before you pay.

How do I pay?

By card, here on the site or in the app. On instant rides you pay when you book. On rides the driver approves, the amount is only held on your card, and taken when the driver accepts.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel on your booking’s page under My trips, or in the app. 24 hours or more before departure you get everything back, between 3 and 24 hours half, under 3 hours nothing. If the driver cancels, you always get everything back.

How do I know the driver is safe?

Look for the verified badge: the driver’s ID and selfie were checked by a person. You also see their rating, and whether the ride is women-only.

Can I get off before the end?

Yes. Search for your own town: rides that pass it show up, and you pay only for your part of the road.

I drive this road anyway. How do I get paid?

Publish your trip here on the site or in the app. Passengers pay by card when they book; your earnings go to your card or IBAN after the ride.

Do I need the app?

No. You can book, pay, cancel and publish rides here on the site. The iPhone app is in testing and coming to the App Store; Android comes after.
