Shared rides in Georgia

Is there BlaBlaCar in Georgia?

No. As of October 2026, BlaBlaCar doesn’t run in Georgia: when it grew to 41 countries in June 2026, the new ones were in Latin America, the Balkans, South-East Asia and Morocco. Between Georgian towns people share rides in other ways, and GzaGzaCar works the way BlaBlaCar does: drivers already making a trip publish their free seats, and passengers book them.

How people share rides here

GzaGzaCar

Drivers already making a trip publish their free seats; you book one on this site or in the app, and pay by card. The price shares the cost of the road, within a cap.

Shared taxis

Cars that leave the bus stations when every seat is taken: from Didube in Tbilisi to Kazbegi and Gudauri, and from by Isani metro to Telavi and Sighnaghi. Faster than a marshrutka, and dearer.

Marshrutkas

Minibuses between the towns, many leaving about hourly by day, mostly from Didube, Navtlughi and Ortachala in Tbilisi. Usually the cheapest way, on their own timetable.

Groups and chats

Drivers also offer seats in Facebook groups and Telegram chats. Nobody checks who’s driving there, and nothing comes back if the ride doesn’t happen, so agree the price and the meeting point in writing.

If you’ve used BlaBlaCar

  • A driver going anyway

A ride is a trip the driver is making for themselves, not a taxi. They set the seat price, within a cost-sharing cap.

  • Book online

Book instantly, or send a request. A request only holds the money on your card until the driver says yes.

  • Part of the way

A car to Batumi can drop you in Kutaisi, and you pay for your part of the road.

  • People you can check

Drivers verify their identity with an ID and a selfie, checked by a person. Every driver has a rating, and a ride can be women-only.

Made for Georgian roads

The things a road through the Caucasus needs

  • Road conditions on your ride

Closures, works and hazards on your route show on the ride itself, and everyone booked on it is told.

  • Works without signal

Your rides, bookings and meeting points are saved on your phone, so they’re still there in the mountains.

  • No ride yet? Ask the road

Say where and when you need to go, and the drivers who take that road hear about it.

  • Ski season and airports

Room for skis to Gudauri, Bakuriani, Goderdzi and Mestia, and pickups from a flight with its number on the booking.

Where people ride

Seat prices are what the app suggests from the distance. Drivers set their own, within a cost-sharing cap: it’s about splitting fuel, not running a taxi.
