Terms of use

In effect from 17 October 2026 · Jomo LLC

The short version

  • GzaGzaCar is for sharing the cost of a trip the driver is making anyway. It is not a taxi service, and drivers don’t work for us.
  • You pay by card in the app. Cancel 24 hours or more before departure and you get everything back.
  • Drivers need a licence, an insured car and a sober head. Everyone needs good manners.
  • If a trip didn’t happen, tell us within 24 hours and we will look into it.

What GzaGzaCar is

These terms are the agreement between you and Jomo LLC (identification code 405713553, Georgia), which runs GzaGzaCar, when you use the GzaGzaCar app or gzagzacar.com. By creating an account you accept them.

GzaGzaCar is a platform for sharing the cost of a trip. A driver who is making a journey anyway offers the empty seats in their car, and passengers going the same way book them and share the running costs.

We are not a transport company. We don’t drive, own cars or employ drivers, and drivers don’t act on our behalf. The trip is arranged between the driver and the passengers; we provide the app that lets them find each other, book, pay and stay in touch.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older, and the information you give us must be true and your own.
  • One person, one account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • You can close your account at any time in the app: Account → Close account.

Sharing costs, not making a profit

A seat’s price is meant to cover a share of the trip’s running costs (fuel, wear, tolls), not to earn money. The app suggests a price and won’t let it go above one person’s share of those costs. Someone who rides only part of the way pays only for that part.

Drivers must not:

  • use GzaGzaCar to run a taxi or any paid transport business;
  • publish trips they wouldn’t make anyway;
  • ask passengers for money outside the app, or for more than the price they booked.

If you drive

You confirm that you hold a valid driving licence, that the car is roadworthy, registered and insured as Georgian law requires, and that it is the car you listed in the app. You agree to:

  • drive safely and lawfully, and never after alcohol or drugs;
  • be at the meeting point on time, and tell your passengers in the app if you are late or something changes;
  • carry no more passengers than the car has seat belts for;
  • ask each passenger for their ride code as they get in, and type it into the app;
  • cancel in the app as early as you can if you can’t make the trip.

If you ride

You agree to:

  • be at the meeting point on time;
  • show the driver your ride code as you get in;
  • bring only the people you booked seats for, and the luggage you agreed with the driver;
  • wear a seat belt and treat the driver’s car with respect;
  • cancel in the app as early as you can if your plans change.

Booking and paying

  • You pay by card in the app when you book. Our payment provider, Flitt, handles the card; we never see your full card number.
  • The price you see before you pay is the whole price: the driver’s share of the costs plus the GzaGzaCar service fee (currently 12% of the fare), shown separately.
  • Some rides are booked instantly. On others the driver accepts or declines your request, and you are not charged until they accept.
  • For drivers: your share is released once the ride has finished and 24 hours have passed without a passenger reporting that it didn’t happen. We then pay it to the card or bank account you added for payouts. You are responsible for any tax on what you receive.

Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel as a passenger, what you get back depends on how long before departure you cancel:

When you cancelYou get back
24 hours or more before departureEverything
Between 3 and 24 hours beforeHalf
Less than 3 hours beforeNothing

You get everything back if:

  • the driver cancels the ride or removes you from it;
  • the ride is never started (we cancel it automatically after 24 hours);
  • the driver didn’t come where the ride starts: you tapped “I’m here” and your phone showed you at the meeting point, and 20 minutes after the departure time (with any delay the driver announced) the driver still hadn’t arrived. Tap “My driver didn’t come” and the refund starts at once;
  • we confirm that a ride didn’t take place.

If you don’t come as a passenger where the ride starts, a driver whose phone showed them at the meeting point can mark you as not having come once they have waited 10 minutes past the departure time, or past their arrival if they were late. That counts as cancelling at the departure time, so under the table above nothing is refunded. If your own phone showed you at the meeting point too, it can’t be marked this way, and we look into it instead.

If a trip didn’t happen but the app says it did, report it in the app within 24 hours of the ride being completed. We look into it and, if it is confirmed, refund you in full. This isn’t possible when your ride code was typed in as you got in, because that shows you rode; if something else went wrong, write to us.

Drivers: what you earn for a seat whose ride code was typed in can be paid out as soon as the ride is finished. Other earnings wait 24 hours after the ride ends, as before.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with; your bank may take a few working days to show them. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under Georgian consumer law.

Women-only rides

Women-only rides are for women drivers and women passengers, and rely on what members tell us about themselves. Using them under false pretences is a serious breach of these terms, and we will close the account.

Safety and respect

  • Treat everyone with respect. Harassment, threats, discrimination and violence are not tolerated.
  • Don’t use GzaGzaCar to carry anything illegal, to contact people for reasons unrelated to a trip, or to send spam.
  • Reviews must be honest and about the trip. We may remove reviews that break these rules.
  • Report problems to us from the app. In an emergency, call 112 first.
  • Verification badges mean we have checked a document, an email or a phone number. They are not a guarantee of how anyone will behave.

What we are responsible for

We work hard to keep GzaGzaCar running, accurate and safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors.

The trip is the responsibility of the driver and the passengers, and each is responsible for what they do on it. We are not liable for the driving, delays, accidents, lost property or how a member behaves.

We are liable for harm we cause deliberately or through gross negligence, and for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to exclude. Otherwise, our liability to you is limited to the service fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may warn, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or misuses payments. We tell you why, unless the law or someone’s safety prevents it, and you can write to us if you think we got it wrong.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect; if you don’t agree, you can close your account before then.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. If something goes wrong, write to us first at support@gzagzacar.com: most problems are solved that way. If we can’t agree, the courts of Tbilisi decide, unless the law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.

How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
